Limiting Factors and Impacts

In the tundra there are density dependent and independent.

  • Dependent- Diseases, competition for limited living spaces.

  • Independent- Temperature, permafrost, wind, and rain.

These limiting factors tie into many human impacts. One of them is air pollution which causes the smog to cover lichens which is a primary food source for organism in the Tundra. These limited inchin's can causes lots of competition in the Tundra.

Another human impact is the exploration of natural resources such as oil, gas, and minerals which disturb natural habitats of organism which causes limited living spaces which is a dependent factor.

The last human impact is the oil spills in the natural waters damaging the organisms that life in these aquatic place which affecting the whole Tundra ecosystem.

These can make long time effects of possibly destroying the whole entire biome because of the over development of roads in the Tundra taking away land from the organisms and the Earth will erode destroying the biome.

This can be reduced by stopping the building over sensitive parts of the biome such as the plants which will stop the Earth from eroding and the biome will stay alive and healthy. The stopping of the polluting will stop chasing the organisms out of the ecosystem.
